You wouldn’t believe it but I had severe body confidence issues when I was young, I hated my thick thighs, my sticky out bum, my dark hairs, my pudgy tummy and the list went on.

But when I started creating lingerie I was honestly more interested in what that looked like than my body 😂 so I cared less and less what I looked like and today have a pretty good relationship with my body. I could never have foreseen that.

And my past self would never have believed I’d be showing photos of me online in my undies for the world to see on a fairly regular basis. 😂

Wrong move with this fabric 😂

I made some shorts a while ago with this pattern and at the time I didn’t have access to my overlocker so I didn’t use it. They turned out completely fine and still going strong today, so I thought do you know what? I quite liked that ‘handmade’ look with raw seam edges so decided to do it again with this fabric and after one wash the seams almost went through as there was so much fraying! 😅

Suffice to say the overlocker was used in the end and luckily was able to save them, 😂 but the shorts are still fab and perfect for what I wanted.

So just your reminder, even if your sewing goes wrong there’s nearly always a way to fix it. 😃

Originally I was going to buy all extra trims to match but since I couldn’t find the exact tones I decided to use what I already have.

I looked through my stash and found some trims that I had been keeping because they were too pretty (lol does anyone else do that? 😅) and just experimented as I went. I came out with this beautiful set that is honestly so perfect for me. 🥰

Who knew I had everything I needed anyway for my perfect set!

I used the Honey knickers V2 (didn’t take S/A away on the waistband which is why they are a bit higher) and my adapted Barbary bralette with darts.

I decided to add darts into this pattern as I wanted to allow more volume through the bust area giving a smooth appearance without compression.

My latest project!

Finally I’ve updated my most worn bralette! It was embarrassing deteriorated after I wore it so much 😳

This is my Barbary Bralette pattern which I’ve added side darts to!

It’s just sooo comfy 🤤 and exactly the reason I love making my own wardrobe!

Update- I made the back smaller and sorted out the bulk in the dart seams and it’s perfect 🤩
